Little Governor's Camp casts its spell over all who visit, from honeymoon couples to Presidents
Intimate in character, there are just seventeen tents tucked away around a large watering hole that teems with animal and bird life. From every veranda the view changes daily: giraffe and lion, elephant and warthog. Getting to the camp is an adventure in itself. You first cross the Mara River by boat, then walk a short distance to the camp, all of the tents are very comfortable and tastefully decorated in the traditional safari style.
Each has an en-suite bathroom, hot running water, even bidets. In keeping with the safari traditions, lighting is by gas and kerosene lanterns or by candlelight.
Meals are of our usual superlative standards, served, as is our style, outdoors during the day or in our candlelit dining tent. In any Governors' Camp we're happy to cater for all tastes or needs, just let us know.
Come the evening it's time for chilled drinks and tall tales around the blazing campfire. Then, finally, a delicious dinner and a hot-water bottle to keep you warm in bed.
