Twyfelfontein Country Lodge is situated 5km from the historic Twyfelfontein site in Damaraland, which boasts the highest concentration of rock engravings in Southern Africa.
The Lodge is also within easy reach of the Burnt Mountain and the Organ Pipes. Other prominent geographical features include Doros Crater and the Petrified Forest.
See prehistoric Welwitschia Mirabilis plant and the endemic Herero Chat on the scenic drives. The lodge offers 56 spacious twin-bedded rooms with en-suite shower/WC and private verandah. The impressive main building, hidden behind a natural rock entrance and made of rock and thatch, houses the restaurant, lounge, bar and curio shop.
Excursions include hot air-balloon rides, scenic flights, nature walks, horse riding and guided safaris to try and catch a glimpse of the elusive desert-adapted elephant.
